![]() unfortunately 1 star docked because I found the art to be almost unbearably ugly. Amazing!ĭespite the admirably naked emotion on display, all of the intelligence and creativity, the brilliance of Trillium's design. We follow their separate but linked narratives panel by panel, one atop the other (you literally have to turn the comic upside down to read the bottom narrative), one starting when the other is ending, the separate panels commenting on the panel above or below. The design is brilliant, with the pièce de résistance being the central issue, where time is started anew and characters trade places. ![]() ![]() Science fiction and alternate timelines, done darkly. Narrative winding and collapsing in upon itself, turned inside out. If you like love stories, this still may not be for you. If you don't like love stories, avoid this. ![]() ![]() Trillium is above all things a love story. If you like a little Gaudi, a little Sarah Winchester, a lot of whimsy, a folly disguised as a building, hallways crooked and doors that resist opening and when they do, sometimes lead to nowhere. If you like straightforward constructions, architecture that is pleasing to the eye and that makes sense, a building that is not pretending to be anything other than a building, hallways straight and doors easily opened. ![]()

It's also pretty durable despite being so cheap. We take it to the beach with us whenever we can as it is an absolute blast to play with in the surf and easy to get on/off when you bail out. We got it for my little brother about 5 years ago and have put it through some tests. The maneuverability made it incredibly easy to change the route I wanted to take mid rapid and the extra tippiness made it more challenging and a little extra fun. I had an absolute blast a couple days ago running down a river in this and going through some class 2's. The seat is fairly comfy and actually gives pretty decent back support (you may want to add a butt pad if you have a more sensitive rear end). ![]() After you get past about 200 lbs it can get a little tippy which (depending on how experienced you are) can either be a lot of fun or a little annoying. ![]() At 8 feet it doesn't track well at all but it can turn on a dime and fit through tiny openings between rocks in a river and runs very shallow. This kayak is a lot of fun for a little price. ![]() ![]() ![]() It seemed like a perfect Valentine’s Day goodie to share with you all. ![]() This is an alternate perspective scene from Chapter 19 of New World (so major spoilers, obviously) that I shared with my patrons on Patreon back in September 2018. □Īnd then I got to have a lot of fun creating angst for them in New World! Which brings me to today’s post. ![]() (It also made writing the Isaak/Tamara scenes… quite uncomfortable, haha.) I think a lot of people may have been surprised by the development of their relationship, but there were a few places in Fourth World where I dropped the hint. They emerged as a couple in my brain so early on in the writing of Fourth World that at times the only thing that kept me going while writing the first book was the knowledge that I’d get to write Different Worlds next. Happy Valentine’s Day! This year I’m focusing on bringing you the conclusion to The Iamos Trilogy, and that means I’ve been spending a lot of time with my favorite couple from all the books I’ve ever written: Henry and Tamara. ![]() ![]() ![]() I am the senior executive editor for global technology coverage at Bloomberg and the author of "Amazon Unbound: Jeff Bezos and the Invention of a Global Empire," published in May 2021 by Simon and Schuster. ![]() The Everything Store will be the revealing, definitive biography of the company that placed one of the first and largest bets on the Internet and forever changed the way we shop and read.
